What's new
Recent features, improvements and fixes in Shazzer.
- Improved
Tidier vector form
The create and edit vector forms have a cleaner layout, and the example vectors picker now sits above your own vector and stacks properly on small screens.
- Improved
Leaving-Shazzer warning on profile links
The website link on a profile now shows the same confirmation as links in posts, so you always see where an external link goes before you follow it.
- Fixed
More reliable fuzzing network
Fixed tasks getting stuck when a browser went into the background halfway through one, stopped tabs that rapidly flip between visible and hidden from disrupting the queue, and fixed a case where a hidden tab could leave a whole browser without work.
- New
Fuzz launcher
Browsers don't render fuzzing frames in a background tab, so a tab you've switched away from can't do much. The fuzz launcher is a small popup window that keeps fuzzing while you browse elsewhere. You're offered it when you opt in to the network, and it's always available from the network status widget. Launcher windows are preferred when work is handed out, and you'll see a warning when you're fuzzing without one.
- New
Add vectors to collections from the edit pages
Collections now have an edit page with a vector search, and you can assign a vector to your collections straight from the edit vector page.
- Improved
Orbiting network swarm
The swarm map on the network page now animates connected browsers in orbit, and shows which peers are launcher windows and which are in the background.
- Improved
Help covers run-once vectors
The help page now explains SINGLE vectors, which run their template exactly once per browser. Use them for vectors that enumerate something rather than sweep a character range.
- Improved
More trustworthy results
A single browser reporting that a vector stopped matching is no longer taken at face value: a result that contradicts existing ones is held until another peer confirms it. Browsers that override page colours are detected and kept away from colour-based vectors, and incorrect "stopped matching" stamps have been retracted.
- Fixed
XSS fuzzing fix
Fixed XSS vectors where a payload's tag could consume the markup after it and hide results.
- New
Advanced search
The search box has an Advanced button for building type: and author: filters without remembering the syntax, and it keeps your query after you search.
